LED lightweight curtain screens are ultra-portable, low-weight display solutions designed for scenarios requiring quick setup, frequent relocation, or temporary use—such as concerts, roadshows, pop-up stores, and temporary exhibitions. Their defining feature is an extremely low weight (0.3–1.5kg/㎡) and compact design, making them easy to transport, install, and store compared to traditional rigid LED screens.
The lightweight nature of these screens is achieved through innovative material selection and structural design. The base material is a thin, flexible mesh or fabric (typically polyester or fiberglass) that weighs just 50–100g/㎡, with ultra-thin SMD LEDs (micro 1010 or 2020 models) attached directly to the material. The LEDs are spaced in a sparse matrix (pixel pitches 5mm–30mm) to minimize weight while ensuring adequate display resolution. The screens are modular, with standard panel sizes of 1m×2m or 0.5m×2m that can be connected via lightweight cables or magnetic fasteners—no heavy metal frames are required. For example, a 10m×5m lightweight curtain screen can be packed into two small suitcases (total weight under 50kg) and installed by two people in 30–60 minutes using simple hanging hardware.
Despite their light weight, LED lightweight curtain screens deliver impressive display performance. They have a brightness range of 800–2000 nits, suitable for indoor and semi-outdoor use (e.g., covered concert stages or tent exhibitions). They support full-color display with a wide color gamut (up to 110% NTSC) and a refresh rate of 300–600Hz, ensuring vibrant, smooth content playback. The flexible base material also allows the screens to be slightly curved (minimum radius 1m), adapting to non-flat installation surfaces like stage backdrops or tent interiors.
Durability is optimized for portability. The mesh/fabric material is tear-resistant and flame-retardant, while the LEDs are coated with a protective film to prevent damage during transportation. Most models have an IP44 rating, protecting against dust and light splashes—suitable for semi-outdoor use with minimal protection.
Common applications include concert tours (where portability is critical), corporate roadshows (setting up displays in different cities), pop-up retail stores (temporary brand showcases), and community events (local festivals or charity galas). By combining ultra-lightweight design with reliable display performance, LED lightweight curtain screens meet the growing demand for flexible, temporary digital display solutions.
