Outdoor Rental Screen Connection Structure

Outdoor rental screen connection structures link modular LED panels, power supplies, and control systemsdesigned to be fast to assemble, weatherproof, and reliable for temporary use. Unlike fixed screen connections (which use soldered wires or permanent cables), rental connections prioritize plug-and-play designs (to reduce setup time) and weather resistance (to prevent signal loss or short circuits in rain).

The connection system has three core components: 1) Power Connections: Use waterproof aviation plugs (IP67-rated) with locking mechanisms to connect panel power cables. Plugs have color-coded pins (red for positive, black for negative) to avoid reverse polarity (which damages components). Power is distributed via a "daisy-chain" layouteach panel connects to the next, with a main power cable linking to a 220V/380V outdoor power distribution box (equipped with circuit breakers for overload protection). 2) Signal Connections: For short distances (under 10 meters), use HDMI cables with waterproof connectors; for longer distances (10-50 meters), use CAT6 Ethernet cables (converted via signal extenders) to reduce signal attenuation. Some advanced systems use wireless signal transmission (5GHz Wi-Fi or 4G) to eliminate cables entirelyideal for events where wiring is difficult (e.g., outdoor concerts with large stages). 3) Control Connections: The control box (housing the video processor and controller) connects to the screen via a "master-slave" setupone master panel receives the signal and distributes it to slave panels via signal splitters. Control boxes have a built-in LCD screen to monitor signal strength and panel status (e.g., "no signal" alerts for faulty connections).

To ensure reliability, all connections are secured with cable ties (to prevent accidental disconnection from wind) and covered with waterproof tape (for extra protection in heavy rain). A rental technician reported that a 10-panel outdoor screens connection setup took just 45 minutes, thanks to plug-and-play aviation plugs. For large screens (over 50 panels), use a "star" signal layout (one signal splitter per 10 panels) to avoid signal lossthis ensures uniform image quality across the entire screen.
