LED large curtain screens (also known as LED soft curtain screens) are ultra-lightweight, flexible display solutions designed for large-scale indoor and semi-outdoor applications, such as concert stages, theater backdrops, exhibition halls, and large event venues. Their defining features are a soft, curtain-like structure and modular design, which allow them to create expansive, seamless displays while being easy to install, disassemble, and transport.
The structure of LED large curtain screens is optimized for flexibility and lightness. The core component is a soft, durable base material (typically polyester or fiberglass mesh) with ultra-thin LED strip (micro SMD LEDs or mini LEDs) attached in a sparse matrix. This base material is lightweight (0.5–2kg/㎡) and highly flexible, capable of being folded, rolled, or hung like a traditional curtain—making it ideal for venues that require frequent setup changes (e.g., concert halls hosting different events weekly). The pixel pitch of these screens ranges from 5mm (for indoor close-up viewing) to 30mm (for large semi-outdoor stages), with larger pitches used for displays viewed from 10+ meters away.
A major advantage of LED large curtain screens is their easy installation and transportation. The screens are composed of modular panels (standard sizes 1m×2m or 1m×1m) that can be connected via quick-release buckles or cables. For a large concert stage requiring a 10m×5m backdrop, the modules can be assembled in 1–2 hours by a small team, without the need for heavy lifting equipment. When not in use, the modules can be rolled up and stored in compact cases, reducing storage space and transportation costs compared to rigid LED screens.
In terms of performance, LED large curtain screens deliver vibrant, dynamic content. They support full-color display with a wide color gamut (up to 110% NTSC), ensuring accurate color reproduction for stage visuals (e.g., movie scenes, abstract animations, or live camera feeds). The screens have a high refresh rate (500–1000Hz), eliminating flicker and ensuring smooth playback—critical for capturing audience attention during fast-paced performances. Some models also feature high transparency (40–70%), allowing stage lights or other background elements to shine through, creating layered, immersive visual effects.
Common applications include concert tours (where portability is key), theater productions (for dynamic scene changes), trade shows (for large booth backdrops), and corporate events (for brand showcases). By combining large size, flexibility, and high visual quality, LED large curtain screens have become a staple in the event and entertainment industry.
